About Me

With a Passion

Growing up a Northern girl I had a fairly textbook childhood having both traditional parents minus the occasional pedophiles that still haunts my memory.   Then, years later, with jobs drying up as Bruce Springsteen sang it best with, “since these silly jobs are goin’ boys and they ain’t comin’ back1, was especially true ‘In My Hometown2 (Sorry. You know I had to mention Bruce again). I told my Father it was his fault for making me independent and adventuresome, so I packed as much as I could and moved 1000 miles away two days later. Several years later He and I repeated this conversation but this time driving 2,500 miles cross country.

While serving in the military during Desert Storm, I had a whirlwind romance and exchanged vows one year later unaware of the changes that were to come, and not all blissful. 24 years later I was desperate to run away for what sanity remained but left my two adult children behind: A decision that had to be but is still regrettable to this day and probably will be till the day I die. Five days before our 25th Wedding Anniversary, I was relieved with the finalization of the divorce. With my new-found freedom, instead of going crazy like most would do, I passed out bicycle registration packets that afternoon as I had committed to do so some time ago.

Now, freedom consists of gratefulness, and reaching out to people within the grasps of OCPD. Now guided to this path by a force just as strong as the magnetic connection towards my defunct soul-mate, my destiny has become a compelling purpose to enlighten and empower those experiencing the abuses of OCPD. It’s never too late to reach out for help.

After many decades, I finally know what I want to be when I grow up! I endeavor to guide and commit myself, experiences and resources to bringing OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder) to the forefront.  Assisting those with OCPD to self-manage their triggered behaviors must mostly to empower and be a resource for those who are the continuous victim of repeated tangents.

I hope to help and support via the OCPD Foundation, monthly Meetup.com, public speaking events, appointments to talk or Skype, in-person guidance sessions and through my circle of life of finding love and patience with the Lord.
