OCPD
Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder
You Have Finally Found Answers…..Welcome
(Please also understand this website is still under construction)
If you’ve been struggling with how to live with someone who has OCPD OR OCD AND FEEL LIKE YOU’RE ALONE, please read on.
I’m Ronda , and I started the OCPD Foundation to provide guidance, information and support for people who live or co-exist with a loved one who has signs and symptoms of OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder) or the more popular, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). The two may look similar, and often are grouped together, but they are completely different in many ways.
OCD is by far more popularly known and recognized with only a mere 1%, it’s estimated while OCPD could affect up to 10% of people in the U.S. alone. This may not seem like much unless you consider the population is over 350 million, and then it becomes a substantial number, amounting to approximately 35,000,000 people! Yes. 35 Million, with an “M” . That is a staggering number of individuals who may have OCPD. Then consider the indirect affects on those who live with a spouse or family member who has this condition, is at least double that, and probably far greater based on so many factors.
I was married to an individual for almost 25 years who has OCPD, and I know first-hand what silent abuses, abnormalicy and shame take place. I have experience in coping, adjusting and even leaving if the situation called for it. I offer help and guidance for people affected by OCPD or OCD by phone, Skype, possibly at your location and in person if you’re in Tucson or the surrounding area. I also host a monthly Meetup Group and you can find the latest information on that Here.
For more information or to book a session with me please get in touch by visiting my Contact Page, or my Appointments Page.
I do have to mention that the information on this site and discussions with me or my groups, emails, etc. should never take place of a doctor, medical or mental health professional’s advice, recommendations or other. As I am not a medical or mental health expert, I may suggest, recommend, tell a story or tell you what I did in a situation that MAY help. Never stop taking medications without consulting your doctor, counselor, or mental health professional.
